The New York Council Navy League is honored to be judging the Curtis High School NJROTC essay contest. Every cadet of this NYNL-sponsored unit was asked to submit an essay on what NJROTC means to them, and the results were inspirational. We are proud of all the cadets who submitted an entry, and will be honoring five outstanding submissions with $100 gift cards.

Thank you to our members who volunteered to serve as judges and kudos to the unit leaders and cadets.

The essay awards will be presented as part of the Curtis NJROTC unit’s Memorial Day ceremony. Cadets will honor fallen veterans from all wars in an outdoor ceremony. Additional year-end awards will be presented to top-performing cadets by the New York Council Navy League.
