Thank you for joining us at our
122nd Anniversary Dinner
Thank you to all who joined the New York Council and our Honorary Co-Chair — Tom Higgins of Fiserv — on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the Edison Ballroom to celebrate 122 years of citizens in support of the sea services. This year, we had the privilege of honoring Admiral Linda Fagan, Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, with our Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Kathryn Sullivan, scientist, astronaut and Navy veteran, was the recipient of our
J. Robert Lunney Patriot’s Award for her lifetime of service. And Brian B.A McAllister, CEO of McAllister Towing received our Maritime Service Award.
CONTINUING OUR LEGACY OF SUPPORT
Funds raised from our Anniversary Dinners go toward new and developing programs that educate the public and our elected leaders on the importance of the sea services, foster youth leadership development and, most importantly, support sea service personnel, their families and their units. We’re financially independent from our national organization, so money given locally is used locally. 2025 initiatives will include:
Financial and mentorship support of more than 2,000 local JROTC cadets, Sea Cadets and Young Marines
Morale events throughout the year for local and visiting military units, including Fleet Week New York
Advocacy with elected officials for sea service priorities
Public education on national security issues, including the 4th Annual Maritime Security Conference
THANK YOU TO OUR 2024 DINNER SPONSORS FOR THEIR GENEROUS CONTRIBUTIONS.
Thank you to our table sponsors, dinner journal advertisers and auction donors, whose generosity provided crucial funding for our fleet support, education & advocacy, and youth programs. And thank you to our volunteers and guests who made the night a success. We look forward to welcoming you again next year.
We look forward to seeing you in 2025. In the interim, be sure to check back here for more updates. If you have any questions about our 123rd Anniversary Dinner, please contact Karina Verna, Assistant Director, at kverna@nynavyleague.org or by calling 212-825-7333, x2.
