Commodore John Barry Book Award Virtual Event with William Geroux

The New York Council Navy League is pleased to host a virtual event with this year’s Commodore John Barry Book Award recipient, author William Geroux. The Council’s 2020 award for excellence in American Maritime Literature is going to Bill for his latest work, The Ghost Ships of Archangel: The Arctic Voyage That Defied the Nazis. This book tells an extraordinary story of survival and alliance during World War II as four Allied ships cross the Arctic to deliver much needed supplies to the Soviet port of Archangel.

To purchase the book while supporting the Council, shop through the Amazon Smile program, which works with Prime, regular accounts and through the mobile app. Amazon donates a percentage of each purchase made this way back to the Council. If you are an Amazon shopper, please remember to log in through Amazon Smile and select New York Council Navy League as your charity.

Register for free here to receive log-in information. If you enjoy the event and would like to continue supporting the sea services, we encourage you to join our council, sign up for our emails or make a donation.
