The United States Coast Guard is naming a ship after Angela McShan, the first Female African American Master Chief in the USCG, who passed away from cancer while serving on active duty. The official commissioning of the USCGC ANGELA MCSHAN (WPC 1135) will be held Saturday, October 26 at 10:00 AM in Cape May, NJ. Cadets from the Graphics Campus NJROTC unit will be attending, as their Naval Science Instructor, Chief McShan, is the brother of the late Master Chief McShan.
