Four Chaplains Day

Each year on February 3, the public is asked to remember and reflect on the sacrifices made by four military chaplains — Methodist minister the Reverend George L. Fox, Reformed Church in America minister the Reverend Clark V. Poling, Brooklyn native Reform Rabbi Alexander D. Goode (PhD), and Newark native Roman Catholic priest Father John P. Washington — during World War II. To learn more about these heroes and their story of sacrifice, please see the write-up on Military Benefits’ website.
