Richard & Doris Scheuing CO/XO Reception

Fleet Week means the return of our marquee event, the Richard & Doris Scheuing CO/XO Reception, held at the historic New York Athletic Club. For our program, we were honored to welcome back The Honorable John P. "Sean" Coffey, General Counsel Department of the Navy, and ADM Daryl Caudle, 35th commander of United States Fleet Forces Command.

RxR Realty Pop-Up Rest Stop

For the first time, our Council had the exciting opportunity to host a pop-up rest stop for visiting service members right in the heart of Times Square. This was in thanks to the generosity of RxR Realty, who donated the space for the week. Along with our partners at the USO, we were able to provided games, snacks, prizes and more to those who stopped by, either needing a place to charge a phone, take a break, or looking for somewhere to enjoy some downtime. We are especially grateful to our donors, including Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey, Sony Hall, Target, Local Roots, Mastro's, Hippodrome and Eastside Barking Dog for their generous donations so that we could offer some great snacks and prizes to our service members.

CPO and Staff NCO Cruise

This year brought the return of the exciting Chiefs' Cruise, where CPOs and Staff NCOs had the opportunity to let loose aboard the Hornblower Serenity and enjoy a buffet dinner, beverages, DJ and fabulous city views during their evening of fun on the water.
